Bikes are, on the whole, pretty cool. Fixing bikes for a living is pretty cool too. The money is shit and bike designers seem intent on making things more and more difficult (for both mechanics and end users) for absolutely no benefit, but I can’t think of many jobs which are, on balance, as ‘fun’. After about 10 years in the industry I keep trying to escape, and yet I keep getting dragged back in, so there must be something about it…
When not fixing other people’s broken things, I’m usually either tinkering with or attempting to ride my own bikes in a mediocre fashion, defacing RockShox stickers, cooking pizza or wrestling a pair of huskies.
This site (nobody ‘blogs’ any more, right?) will hopefully serve as a place to put down the bike-related thoughts rattling around in my head, which are inevitably crowding out other, probably more important things.
Apologies in advance for what will probably be a lot of incoherent ranting about internal cable routing, but I hope you stick around anyway.
